Join us for a lively debate on whether AI will kick cybersecurity pros to the curb – bring your thoughts and let's hash it out!

The next Western Kentucky University Applied Center for Data Science and Regional Technology Council Joint Seminar Series will be given by Aaron Owens, a Principle Cybersecurity Engineer on Thursday, November 20 at 4 PM in Helm Library 3008. The title of his talk is “Will AI Replace Cybersecurity Professionals in the Near Future?” Aaron's abstract is below.

Abstract: AI is advancing quickly and changing how we both work and play. It is increasingly being used in both offensive and defensive cyber but how will it impact the future cyber workforce and will AI replace cybersecurity professionals as it advances? Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, Aaron Owens, will give an overview of what current cyber roles look like and how they will evolve which new technologies like AI and Quantum computing. This look into the future of Cybersecurity will be invaluable in helping you plan your cyber career.
