We anticipate the prescribed fire burn window to be within the last week of September through the month of October. The dates listed on event registration are placeholders and will be changed to accurately reflect the burn window once notified by the National Center for Landscape Fire Analysis
All attendees will receive a 2 week notification/alert when a burn window has been identified. Due to weather and fuel conditions, the window could change to a few days before or after. Please remain flexible.
Spring (April, May) and Fall (end of September, October, early November). We are expecting a burn window to open within these fall months and will notify all registered participants and observers as soon as we're notified by the National Center for Landscape Analysis and Lubrecht Experimental Forest
Prescribed Fire (RX) is the strategic application of controlled burning to achieve specific natural resource management objectives (e.g. removal of understory vegetation.) To accomplish this objective, pre-determined fuel conditions and forecasted weather need to align prior to ignition.

No, we’ll leave this to the professionals of the University of Montana Fire Center. If you're showcasing a technology or product, you'll be assigned a demo field guide who will assist pre, during, and post burn with set up and break down.
Reserve a Demo Showcase spot by registering. Once confirmed, we'll reach out to conduct an exploratory call and brainstorm how to get your technology/product integrated into the prescribed burn.
Yes, we’ll be providing a shipping address and on-site storage container that is weather and tamper proof. Please be specific if the item needs to be temperature controlled and/or consists of any hazardous materials during your exploratory call with WIC.

Same as Observer registration + 3 additional entries, professional video and photography media assets taken during event, and dedicated field guide to assist with demo set up, testing, and breakdown. Note: Media assets will be sent to all demo showcase ticket holders within 30 days of event close.
