Description
ACR's Fire Forward and the Sonoma Fire Safe Council present:
Wildfire Home Hardening for Residents Living in the W.U.I.
(Wildland Urban Interface)
Learn how to make your home resilient against wildfire during this hands-on workshop:
- Receive expert instruction on how to "harden" your home against the next wildfire.
- Take a tour of a typical home in Sonoma County's W.U.I., with all of its classic issues.
- Get hands-on experience correcting those issues.
Location: Morning session will be held at Gold Ridge Fire Station Two classroom (1690 Watertrough Road,Twin Hills Station) and later at 5281 Thomas Road for the hands-on tour.
Time: Saturday, August 17, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Station Two and 1:00 p.m. at Thomas Rd.
Cost: $10, includes lunch (no one turned away for lack of funds)
Gear: Dress for field work: work shoes/boots, work clothes, layers recommended. Bring gloves, water, hat and sunscreen.
Lunch will be provided to workshop participants. Bring a water bottle.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Carpool from Twin Hills to the second location.
What can I bring to the event?
Bring water, work gloves, hat and sunscreen. Shoes/boots with good tread and clothing layers recommended. Lunch will be provided.
