Wilderness Tracking Workshop
Overview
Bennington Battlefied is excited to host a FREE wilderness tracking workshop, "Reading the Secret Language of the Forest" - actually, it's not so secret, you just have to know where to look!
Meet us on January 24th from 9:30am-12:30pm at the Caretaker's House, as Dan Yacobellis of Tamakoce Wilderness Programs helps us identify animal tracks and the stories they reveal. Dan is a level 3 certified tracker who has spent over three decades learning to understand much of this hidden language. You'll be surprised how many "secrets" you can learn on an easy, 3-hour walk on the Victory Loop Trail. And it's lots of fun too!
Please dress appropriately for spending 3 hours outdoors in winter. Bring hand & feet warmers, and adequate hiking shoes for snow. This program is for ages 12+, and registration is required. Space is limited, so sign up now! Call (518) 391-4656 or email benningtonbattlefieldshs@parks.ny.gov to register!
