The Hacknic is a planned socially-distanced mini-Wiknic in Brooklyn's Prospect Park to coincide with the virtual Wikimedia Hackathon 2021, on the afternoon of Sunday May 23.
All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct. In addition, it is particularly important to respect personal space and to observe government health mandates, and we may limit overall attendance size if appropriate.
For this occasion, and to allow more space as desired, we will have individually packed lunches provided by the chapter, and we will soon have an Eventbrite listing to RSVP and give your sandwich order.
The three primary topic areas will be:
- Mapping/photography projects through the lens of WikiProject New York City
- Wikimedia Social Suite tools for community organizing
- Hacking the Movement Charter: Ideation, Ratification process and Community Wishlist Survey models
