Our virtual satellite workshop is a free D&I event as opposed to a regular ACL workshop. Everyone is welcome to attend for free. It will have three events:

8:00-9:00 AM PDT: Keynote. To start our program will be our keynote speaker, Lydia X. Z. Brown.

12:00-1:00 PM PDT: Mentorship Round Table. Mentors from across industry and academia will support online discussions on mentoring topics of interest to our community. Our mentors are Faeze Brahman (Postdoc @ Allen Institute for AI), Esin Durmus (Postdoc @ Stanford), Nanyun Peng (Assistant Professor @ UCLA), and Joel Tetreault (Senior Director of Research @ Dataminr).

5:00-6:00 PM PDT: Panel: Navigating Graduate School Admissions. We have invited a panel of world-class researchers to share tips and tricks on practices that will help you think about where to apply, how to prepare your application, how to make the most of visits, and how to choose your program. Our panelists are Kianté Brantley, Preethi Joshi, Vered Shwartz, and Diyi Yang.
