Russia’s war on Ukraine is reshaping the global order and testing the resolve of the West. Continued U.S. and European support is critical, not only for Ukraine’s survival but for the future of Western security and international norms. Yet many questions loom – about American aid, European defense readiness, and the West's long-term strategy.

An hour-long Capitol Hill briefing will explore what's at stake in the war, the evolving relationship between Ukraine, the U.S., and Europe, and what happens if the West fails to hold the line. Panelists will discuss conditions on the ground in Kyiv, prospects for further U.S. assistance and sanctions, and whether Europe can — and will — step up to fill gaps left by an American withdrawal.

Featuring:

  • Tamar Jacoby, Director, New Ukraine Project at the Progressive Policy Institute (based in Kyiv)

Moderated by:

  • Christian Caryl, former Newsweek foreign correspondent and former Opinions Editor of The Washington Post

Additional speakers to be announced.

Coffee, tea, and breakfast will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
