Description: Executive functioning skills play an important role in students’ success inside and outside of the classroom. This presentation provides an overview of each executive functioning skill, discusses how deficits impact students in academic, social, and other contexts, and reviews resources to support students and families who struggle with executive functioning skills.
Learning Objectives:
- Participants will be able to name all executive functioning skills.
- Participants will be able to describe how challenges with executive functioning can impact students in academic, social, and other contexts.
- Participants will be able to identify at least one strategy to support executive functioning challenges at home or in the classroom.
Please note: This event is not a CEU. Certificates of attendance will be provided and may be submitted to your board for CEU credit consideration.
