WHSAD's annual summer bridge program is designed to introduce incoming freshmen to the basic skill sets needed to perform efficiently in their CTE classes and Work-based learning projects. Students will learn through team project collaboration and feedback. This program is also open to middle school students from 6th and 7th grade who might be interested in our architecture and design curriculum.

WEEKLY LEARNING OBJECTIVES

WEEK 1 - (July 5th - July 13th)

• Students will be able to familiarize themselves with technical sketching as well as perspective drawing.

WEEK 2 - (July 16th - July 20st)

• Students will be able to analyze basic architectural drawings such as floor plans, elevations and section views.

WEEK 3 - (July 23rd - July 27th)

• Students will be able to develop two-dimensional drawings in AutoCAD 2016 (Computer Aided-Drafting).

WEEK 4 - (July 30th - August 6th)

• Students will be able to build three-dimensional models in Rhinoceros (Computer Aided-Modeling).

• Students will be able to familiarize themselves with rapid prototyping of physical models using 3D printers and Laser Cutters.

IMPORTANT: Students interested in the Summer Bridge Program are not required to attend the full duration. Certificate of completion will be awarded for those that attend a minimum of 2 week sessions.
