About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Presenter: Lisa Cawthen

Level: Intermediate

Learn how to process and identify large numbers of audio recordings using cluster analysis in Kaleidoscope Pro. This feature is a powerful tool for identifying bat calls and is the first step towards building classifiers. You’ll learn how cluster analysis works, explore tuning parameters for best results, and then put this knowledge into practice with actual audio files.

Once you have completed this course, you will have the foundation for higher-level bat call identification courses, such as “Who's Calling (Part 3): Finding Your Target Species Using Classifiers (Advanced).”

Attendees will be given a free Kaleidoscope Pro trial license and sample recordings to play along in class. Please note that this class assumes some prior knowledge of Kaleidoscope software and manual bat call identification.
