Who I Am: Exploring My Story Inside and Out
Overview
🌟 Who I Am: Exploring My Story Inside and Out
A Creative Self-Discovery & SEL Journey for Children Ages 8–12
Every child has a story—and this program helps them discover, honor, and proudly tell it.
Who I Am: Exploring My Story Inside and Out is a 10-week creative self-discovery and social-emotional learning (SEL) experience designed to support children ages 8–12 as they explore identity, emotions, culture, and belonging through storytelling, journaling, mindfulness, and expressive arts.
In a world where children face increasing pressure, comparison, and emotional overwhelm, this program offers a safe, affirming, nonclinical space where kids can slow down, reflect, and build confidence in who they are—inside and out.
💛 Why This Program Matters
Today’s children are navigating anxiety, identity questions, and social disconnection at younger ages than ever before. Many struggle to name their emotions, feel seen by peers, or understand how their culture, family, and experiences shape who they are.
This program directly responds to three critical needs:
✨ Social-Emotional Learning Support
Children strengthen self-awareness, empathy, and communication in a supportive, non-academic environment.
✨ Cultural & Identity Affirmation
Participants are encouraged to honor their roots, family stories, community, and personal strengths.
✨ Early Mental Wellness & Prevention
Through creative expression and reflection, children build emotional resilience before challenges escalate.
For many families, this program fills a vital gap—providing access to expressive arts and guided reflection opportunities children may not otherwise receive.
