Is this event only for those who have lost a loved one to death?

Not at all. While many attendees may be grieving the loss of a loved one, this event is open to anyone navigating grief — including loss of identity, relationships, transitions, or other meaningful shifts in life. Grief wears many faces, and all are welcome.

Do I need to have any candle-making experience?

No experience is necessary! All materials and step-by-step guidance will be provided. This is a relaxed and creative space where you can make something meaningful, even if you’ve never made a candle before.

Will there be photos taken at the event?

Yes. Light photography will be used to capture the essence of the evening for future promotions. If you prefer not to be photographed, you can let us know at check-in and we’ll gladly honor your privacy.

Is this event faith-based?

This is not a religious event, but it is a spiritually sensitive space. All beliefs are welcome, and the tone of the evening is reflective, healing, and inclusive.

What does the $40 ticket include

Your ticket includes all candle-making materials, a guided experience, light refreshments, a keepsake item, and access to grief support tools and journals available on-site for additional purchase.

Will there be food?

Can I come alone?

Absolutely. Many people attend grief support events solo, and this space is designed to be warm and welcoming. Whether you come alone or with a friend, you’ll be embraced with care.

Is this event suitable for children or teens?

This particular event is designed for adults (18+), as it centers on adult-level grief experiences and reflection. We may host future family-friendly events.

What if I become emotional during the event?

You are not alone — this space is meant to hold your emotions with compassion. We encourage you to take the time and space you need during the evening. Supportive prompts, tissues, and a trauma-informed host will be present throughout.

Founded by Licensed Clinical Social Worker Noni-Ife Taylor, LCSW, we create safe, soul-centered spaces that promote healing and connection through therapy, workshops, and community events.
