WHEN WE MAKE: A Community Gathering
Overview
Friday, November 14
7 PM–10 PM
VS. Creative Lab [1884 Main Street, Vancouver]
Free with RSVP
Over the past three months, WHEN WE MAKE: A Creative Healing Series has offered space to reflect, express, and heal through art, writing, movement, and cultural practice.
Funded through United Way BC with support by Mango Mental Health, the program was created for those affected by the Lapu Lapu Day Festival tragedy.
Now, as the series comes to a close, we invite all participants, facilitators, and loved ones to gather for the WHEN WE MAKE: Community Showcase & Exhibit — an evening to reconnect, share what we’ve created, and celebrate the spirit of making together.
A warm, welcoming evening of shared creativity and connection featuring:
- DJ Tender
- Improv Showcase with Caitlin Maira & Company
- King Fish from Limbo for All
- An exhibit of artwork created throughout the series
- Open mics for reflections, stories, poems, or pieces made during the workshops
You’re welcome to bring a piece you made during the workshops (artwork, writing, etc.), share a few words, a memory, or a creative reflection, or simply join us to connect, listen, and mark this moment together.
Whether you’re sharing something you created or simply coming to listen and celebrate, this night is about marking what we’ve made—together.
