Yogis of all levels are invited to join for a FREE yoga class with our local Wheatonian yoga instructor, Beth Pruski. Whether you are a beginner, or an experienced yogi, come move, breathe, and connect with fellow Wheaton community members in a welcoming and inclusive space.

This series of free yoga classes for the Wheaton community is organized by volunteer Wheaton community members, with support from Montgomery County grants and services. You can attend one, a few, or all the classes offered - be sure to register and secure your spot!

Post class, plan to visit one of the many local stores and restaurants as you mix and mingle with fellow Wheaton community members.

Parking: Parking is FREE on Sundays. Parking facilities are conveniently available:

MCDOT Parking: 11219 Grandview Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20902

  • Garage 13: Directly underneath the building
  • Surface Lot 13: To the rear of the building
  • Street parking: Available on Grandview and Ennalls Ave.

Please bring the following items for this outdoor yoga class:

  • Yoga mat or towel. Note: Instructor will have a few yoga mats available to loan, on a first come, first serve basis, for those who may need one.
  • Water bottle
  • Comfortable clothing suitable for movement
  • Optional: yoga blocks or strap if you use them in your practice


Instructor Bio: Beth Pruski is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and a longtime resident of Wheaton. She deeply values the sense of connection and community that yoga fosters and is passionate about creating an inclusive, supportive space where everyone feels welcome. Beth enjoys working with students of all levels and backgrounds, helping them integrate yoga into their overall wellness goals. Her teaching emphasizes mindfulness, compassion, and the shared experience of growth through movement and breath.


WARRANTIES, RISK OF HARM, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER AND RELEASE

a. The Instructor makes no representations regarding the risk of harm the Participant may or may not experience as a result of participating in the activity.

b. The Participant is fully aware of all risks associated with their participation in the activity, including but not limited to physical or emotional injury. By registering for the activity, the Participant voluntarily assumes these risks based on their own knowledge and beliefs, and not in reliance upon any statements made by the Instructor.

c. The Participant warrants that they have consulted with healthcare providers regarding the associated risks and are signing this Agreement after due consideration of that consultation.

d. The Participant hereby waives and releases the Instructor from any and all claims for injury related to participation in the activity, including claims related to negligence. Additionally, the Participant agrees to release, hold harmless, and indemnify Montgomery County and any of its departments, officers, employees, and agents—who are sponsoring or providing the outdoor space—from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in the activity.
