Welcome to “What’s Really Going On?” Understanding Trauma and Behavior in Kids and Teens

This training is part of Little City’s Monthly Community Training Series, hosted by the Community-Based Clinical Services team. Each month, we offer a free, virtual standalone training on topics related to children’s mental health, behavior, and emotional well-being. These sessions are designed to be practical, approachable, and useful for anyone who supports kids and teens in daily life.

Join us online this month to explore how trauma affects children’s behavior—and how adults can respond with empathy, structure, and support. This training is perfect for caregivers, afterschool staff, youth mentors, daycare providers, and other community helpers.

Key topics include:

  • How trauma shows up in everyday behavior
  • What “big feelings” and meltdowns may be communicating
  • Simple, trauma-informed ways to create safety and connection

Don’t miss this opportunity to build your skills and confidence in supporting children with compassion and calm. Register now for “What’s Really Going On?”—and check back each month for new topics!
