About this event

Community • County

The current effort to make San Diego County’s jails safer began in 2019 with the San Diego Union’s “Dying Behind Bars” investigation in 2019. This presentation will include that along with multiple other reports that have called for a change to a system that has been in place for too long and has cost too many lives and money to our County.

We hope by seeing the extent of the problem and the number of attempts to improve the situation will move attendees to action. Members of the League’s Criminal Justice Interest Group will be presenting.
