Training Description: This training will provide a brief overview of neurodiversity. By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Define neurodiversity and increase understanding of what diagnoses are included in the label.

  • Recognize signs and symptoms of Autism, ADHD, and other diagnoses.

  • Understand challenges of working with neurodiverse clients.

  • Identify ongoing supports for neurodiverse clients and next steps for individuals wanting testing.

About the presenter: Laura Russell-Reyna is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Board Approved Supervisor. She currently supervises ARMHS mental health practitioners and clinical trainees as well as maintains an outpatient caseload. Working primarily with neurodiverse individuals, she obtained her certificate in Geek Therapy as a way to help clients with their mental health by using their interests. She is also trained in EMDR therapy, and enjoys working with individuals experiencing grief and loss.

Location: Online on Zoom.
