About this event

Government • Non-partisan

In the 1980s, 20,000 people in Cincinnati opposed a nuclear power plant billions of dollars over budget with thousands of safety errors. Across differences, people rallied together around public safety and accountability—and won. The plant was cancelled.

Almost 40 years later, activists from the struggle are gathering to reminisce and share lessons of effective nonpartisan citizen activism. Join, listen, learn, and share.

Moderated by historian Alyssa McClanahan, who recently published a book on the plant and the protest surrounding it.

(There will be a limited number of signed copies of the book available at a 20% discount.)
