What Grows in the Dark? Winter Solstice Gathering

The Winter Solstice is right before the holiday stretch and is seen as a reawakening from darkness and circadian disruption. But before we emerge from the darkness, what lessons can it offer us in this season? What feels inaccessible to us in the dark? Alternatively, what may be available? This gathering is meant to answer those questions gently, with community, comfort, and practices that help us listen beneath the noise. Together, we’ll explore how darkness can be a place of restoration rather than fear; how it can grow clarity, creativity, and resilience if we let it. Think warmth against cold, curiosity over contraction, nourishment instead of depletion.

We’ll move slowly. We’ll soften. We’ll let the body lead. And we’ll anchor ourselves before the intensity of the holidays pulls our energy outward again. You’re invited to arrive as you are and take what you need from the evening—quiet, connection, reflection, or simply rest.

Agenda

• Tea Station (Arrival)
A warm, nourishing tea blend crafted to counter dryness, tension, and winter constriction. Sip, settle in, and land gently.

• Sensory Practices
Guided mantras, breath work, and subtle somatic cues to reconnect you with inner warmth and intuitive knowing.

• Restorative + Yin Yoga
Blankets, bolsters, and candlelight. A slow descent into stillness designed for deep release and nervous system softening.

• Sound Bath
A vibrational reset to help you shift from survival mode into spaciousness, ease, and inner quiet.

• Optional Connection + Journaling
Time to write, integrate, or share in quiet conversation. Stay as long as it serves you.
