What Gets Measured, Gets Done (IN-PERSON)

By Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation

Overview

We'll look at case studies of districts who use their Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) as a tool to advance school greening.

Inspiring sustainability. Empowering schools. Transforming communities.

Join the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) for the Green Schools Speaker Series 2026, a four-part hybrid event designed to spark ideas and action around sustainability in education. From smarter food systems to active learning environments, each session brings together educators, administrators and community leaders to explore innovative strategies for creating greener, healthier schools.

For this session, we'll learn how the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) can be a powerful framework for embedding sustainability goals and tracking meaningful progress.

Whether you join us in person or virtually, you’ll gain practical tools, hear success stories and connect with others passionate about sustainability in schools. In person perks include light food and refreshments. Virtual participants: be ready to participate as we’re creating an engaging space for you to learn and network even if you’re joining from afar.
