After close to two years of ever-changing updates about whether nonprofits will have to file their CHAR 500 with the Department of State in addition to the Charities Bureau of the Attorney General’s Office, nonprofits in New York State finally have resolution.

Please join New York Assemblymember Amy Paulin, sponsor of A1141a, Nonprofit New York and the Lawyers Alliance for New York on what the recently signed S4817a/A1141a legislation now means for nonprofits.

The forum will provide background on the proposed reporting requirement, advocacy to repeal it, and clarity on what nonprofits now need to know about their filing obligations.

Please Note: This meeting is open to staff and board members of current Nonprofit New York member organizations and non-member organizations. Organizations may send more than one individual to participate, HOWEVER if the event sells out registration may be limited to ONE person per organization due to space constraints.
