What Do You Bring to the Table? (Dating in Chicago Edition)

☀️ Summertime Chi Circle Series

“Softness, Strength & Story: A Restorative Circle for Women & Gender Expansive People of the Global Majority Navigating Love in Chicago” Edition

This circle is a healing-centered, culturally rooted space for women and gender expansive people of the Black diaspora & global majority to gather and process their experiences in dating men within the unique cultural, racial, and social dynamics of Chicago. The aim is not to “fix” anyone’s love life, but to create a container where stories are honored, emotional truths are heard, and clarity, softness, and community support are cultivated.

We recognize that dating while Black or POC, and more specifically as Black women and gender expansive people, engaging with Black men, holds a specific weight—shaped by historical trauma, beauty, expectation, pain, longing, love, and hope. This space offers an intentional pause from external judgment and internal pressure.

A Community Conversation Circle with Christina Armstrong & Gozá Parks

Your Story. Your Truth. Your Table. Come as you are. Bring what’s real.

What Do You Bring to the Table? is a guided community conversation circle series that invites truth-telling, reflection, and connection. Rooted in restorative justice and guided by certified coaching, this space honors your lived experience and holds space for healing, laughter, vulnerability, and growth.

Each circle is a little different—sometimes we unpack relationships, burnout, money, or joy. Sometimes we let the group choose what needs to be said. But every time, we commit to curiosity, compassion, and care.
