What Do Our Neighbors Say?: Evaluating the Equity of Housing Development
Date and time
Join the Collective Impact Lincoln team to learn more about the Equitable Development Scorecard and housing equity in Lincoln!
About this event
Have you noticed the increased presence of housing developments in or around your neighborhood? As Lincoln continues to welcome new neighbors, it is essential that equity is at the center of our community's growth.
Join the Collective Impact Lincoln team at Antelope Park Shelter #1 on Wednesday, May 11th to gather with neighbors, discuss the impacts of housing developments and learn about the new Equitable Development Scorecard that neighbors can use as a tool to uniformly evaluate whether a housing development will ultimately benefit our community and address its needs for affordable housing.
We worked on this scorecard over the last year, in part because we heard from community members that this sort of tool is needed to help evaluate proposed housing developments. And we are so excited to share it with you!
Dinner (vegan options included) and childcare will be provided. Check out our informal schedule below:
5:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Gathering and dinner - children are welcome to eat with their adults!
6:00 PM - 6:30 PM: Overview of the Equitable Development Scorecard
6:30 PM - 6:55 PM: Breakouts and small group discussions
6:55 PM - 7:00PM: What's next?
