About this Event

Join us as we continue the conversation from our Emmanuel Baptist Church series, The Business of Cannabis . This installment is Investing in Cannabis - Insight and Resources.

The GREEN Rush, as it is often referred to, is on everyone's mind. How do you discern what is real or a "get rich" falsehood? Is there a way to invest organically? What should my expectations really be? How can we support small-business as we participate in the growth of the industry?

We will bring you leaders in the industry to share their insight, expertise and provide you with the information to make informed decisions.

Our Panelists are…

Debra Borchardt, Co-Founder / CEO - Green Market Report

Debra Borchardt is the CEO and Editor-In-Chief of the cannabis financial news site Green Market Report. She is an award-winning journalist who has covered the cannabis industry for the last seven years. Debra is often a panel guest or moderator at cannabis conferences and is considered a thought leader in the industry. She has appeared on Yahoo Finance TV, Cheddar TV and Bold TV to speak about the financial aspects of the industry.

The Green Market Report focuses on the financial news of the rapidly growing cannabis industry. Our target approach filters out the daily noise and does a deep dive into the financial, business and economic side of the cannabis industry. Our team is cultivating the industry’s critical news into one source and providing open source insights and data analysis

Christine De La Rosa, Co-Founder, CEO - The People's Dispensary

Christine is a proven entrepreneur who owns and co-owns several successful Bay Area businesses, including Craft & Spoon restaurant and Town Biz retail store in Oakland, Queen of Hearts art gallery and dispensary in San Francisco, and two event production companies. She is a well-known advocate for the chronically ill, people of color, women, and the LGBTQ community. Christine’s entry point into the cannabis industry was by way of a near-death experience. Diagnosed with Lupus in 2009, after a pulmonary embolism almost took her life, she spent three years taking 11 synthetic pills daily plus a monthly chemo-like infusion at the hospital to treat her varied ailments, while barely being able to walk with a cane. Her introduction to cannabis-based CBD in 2015 changed her life and was the catalyst that inspired her to open Benefit Health Collective with her co-founders. Her use of CBD has allowed Christine to stop taking both the medications and the monthly infusions. She has been in remission for two and a half years and no longer needs a cane. Christine’s business experience and savvy has been a driving source for growing Benefit Health Collective into a profitable private dispensary.
