• Background - Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted (known for his work on Central Park) and built in 1863. It's a serene park offering scenic views of the Bay. The cemetery holds the remains of many prominent figures in California and Bay Area history, including those who played a key role in water supply development. Join us on this lovely walk and learn about Bay Area water history!
