Overview

Join us at South Coastal Library for a free educational lecture on wetlands and the work being done in these habitats throughout Delaware.

With a quarter of Delaware's land made up of wetlands, that is a lot to protect! This lecture will cover everything from what wetlands are, to how they function, and why they are important. "Travel" through the first state to see these unique ecosystems up-close and personal, as well as gain knowledge on how DNREC conducts research and education. Get a glimpse into how to find wetlands on your property and discover user-friendly tools for the future of your local community. Coastal areas, freshwater habitats, and more; discover Delaware's wetlands with the Division of Watershed Stewardship.
