West Coast Swing Workshop & Practica

Join us for a fun and challenging West Coast Swing Workshop in Chico on Saturday, November 8th! 💃🕺 We will be offering 3 levels of classes, followed by a practica (practice dance). Absolute beginners are welcome and you don't need a partner to join!

Schedule: Saturday, November 8th, 3pm-7pm

3:00 pm Beginning/Intro

4:00 pm Intermediate- Level II

5:00 pm Advanced- Level III

6:00 pm Practica (Practice Dance)

West Coast Swing is characterized by a very distinct "up beat" in the music. If you've been told you have "no rhythm" or “two left feet”, West Coast Swing might just be the dance to change your fate! By the end of this workshop, you will be dancing, moving, and grooving with a partner. You don't need ANY previous experience for our Intro class and you DON’T need a partner to join. What is a Practica?

A practica is a great place to practice with dancers of ALL levels. As opposed to a more formal event such as a "social dance", a practica serves as a safe learning environment for everyone to practice what they’re learning. Dancing with partners of varying levels is great way to see what's working and what's not. Teachers are floating around the room to offer guidance. We will share drinks, snacks, and dancing!
