West Art Presents an evening with Shadowgrass!

Are you ready? Shadowgrass is on a meteoric rise, and we're so excited to welcome these young virtuoses back to our stage! With great traditional sensibilities, and no fear of pushing past the boundaries, they break new ground with stellar songwriting and fast-picking jams. They've toured coast-to-coast, been beloved regulars at many festivals, and shared the stage effortlessly with Billy Strings and other modern greats. What to expect at the show:

>> Doors will open at 6:30. The show will start at 7:30.

>> GA tickets are $25 in advance, and $30 at the door if not sold out.

>> As always, we’re proud to present an all-ages show with discounted tickets available for students.

>> Come early and hang out for some tasty sips at our West Art Coffee Bar!

>> Parking may be available in the small lot across the street. Beyond that, there’s parking available around Buchanan Park and F&M College in the blocks surrounding West Art. Walking, biking, and carpooling is always encouraged when possible!

>> Seating: We've got some seats in the balcony, and general admission for this show will be a mix of seating and standing room. We suggest arriving when the doors open if you’d prefer to sit.

>> Our space is ADA accessible, and we will do our best to accommodate any specific needs.

BIO!

ShadowGrass can trace its roots to the forefathers of bluegrass. While fully embracing the traditions of the past, ShadowGrass is moving forward in the genre by incorporating each member’s varied influences. This is a band that is comfortable stepping outside the bounds of traditional music while maintaining traditional instrumentation. Holding to their bluegrass roots, fast picking, and fresh arrangements have earned the band numerous awards in competitions across the region. ShadowGrass has had the privilege of playing at exciting venues, including The Blue Ridge Music Center, The Lincoln Theatre, The Historic Earle Theatre, Dollywood, and Silver Dollar City, and at festivals such as the National Folk Festival, MerleFest, Pickin in Parsons, the Berryville Bluegrass Series, HoustonFest, the Richmond Folk Festival, the National Youth Workers Convention, the Lowell Folk Festival, the Montana Folk Festival and the IBMA World of Bluegrass StreetFest. ShadowGrass has also appeared on the Today Show with Al Roker during the 2016 IBMA World of Bluegrass Week in Raleigh. ShadowGrass has been called “one of the most thrilling bluegrass bands to emerge from the musically-rich Crooked Road area in recent memory.”
