Join us for a heart-warming Art Basel Miami pop-up with Menstrual Market as we blend books, birth, and bold art. 🌹

This special 50 Shades of RED storytelling event features a live reading and book signing with doula and author Isis Mesa-Rubin, celebrating her beautiful children’s book Welcome to the World—a gentle love letter to newborns and the families who welcome them. Isis will share from the book, talk about the magic (and reality) of birth, and sign copies for guests.

Surrounding the reading, guests will be immersed in an intimate art show featuring work by Coralina Rodriguez and Nicky Dawkins. Their pieces explore themes of wombs, birth, menstruation, and ancestral memory—turning the walls into a visual conversation about how we come into the world and how our stories live on in our bodies.

Come experience storytelling as ritual, art as healing, and community as the thread that ties it all together.

Books will be available for purchase at the event! Proceeds will benefit Menstrual Market, Inc a Florida 5013c nonprofit.

✨ Featured Author: Isis Mesa-Rubin
Doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor Isis Mesa-Rubin will read from and sign copies of her children’s book Welcome to the World: A Doula’s Guide to the Magic of Birth. Told through the voice of Ella the doula, the book gently guides young readers through the birth journey—honoring the strength of mothers, the love of families, and the magic of welcoming a new baby. With lyrical language and inclusive illustrations, it offers families and educators a warm, age-appropriate way to talk about birth and support.

🎨 Art Show: Menarche to Menopause
Throughout the event, you’ll be surrounded by artwork from Coralina Rodriguez and Nicky Dawkins, whose pieces explore themes of wombs, birth, menstruation, and ancestral memory.
