About this event

Community • Heritage

Welcome to Paradise: ¡Viva Puerto Rico Libre! is not a typical exhibition; it’s an immersive direct encounter with Borikén/Puerto Rico’s colonial reality and the endurance of its People.

Native Boricua, now Seattle-based artist Jo Cosme presents the expansion of her solo show alongside over 30 Native Boricua artists, also from the archipelago, who present an array of mediums that challenge tourism, disaster capitalism, and displacement.

Expect an environment where glossy advertising turns into protest, where rhythm and memory meet collective defiance. This is an invitation to stand with Boricua voices and witness art as a call for action and liberation.
