About Ruth Gonzalez: Ruth grew up running a little wild in her family’s woods and watching the "diamonds on the water" glitter on the bay in front of her home. An artist, occasional garden designer, and an NC Certified Plant Professional, Ruth has actively gardened since her college years and worked at Reems Creek Nursery since 2003. Organic gardening, pollinator habitat, and the wonders of nature are her passions. She serves on the Bee City USA-Asheville and Ashville Butterfly Trail Steering Committees. She is especially inspired by those gardening practices that nurture the planet & its creatures, and gardens that reignite our connection to beauty, delight, and all of nature.
