Have you read, heard, or described a situation as traumatic for some reason or another. Perhaps you or someone close to you has experienced trauma? SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) describes individual trauma as an event or circumstance resulting in: physical harm, emotional harm, and/or life-threatening harm.

We would like to invite you to our new book study called Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving. In this study we will learn more on the causes as well as severity of abuse that can cause and be labeled as Complex PTSD. The author Pete Walker writes this book as a practical guide to recovering from lingering childhood trauma. The intent of this book study is to explore and discuss the topic of complex PTSD to build further knowledge and awareness for all participants. This study is facilitated by Indira Gibby, LPC.

Disclaimer: This study is not meant to be or take the place of trauma-based therapy with a licensed professional.
