About this event

Choose from one of three enchanting, spooky designs—a ghost, a poison apple, or a black cat—and discover the art of crafting your very own felt patch. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll be guided through every step of the process, from transferring your design onto felt to mastering stitching, embroidery, and seed beading techniques to add some charming sparkle! By the end, you’ll not only take home a beautifully beaded and embroidered patch, but also the skills and confidence to keep creating on your own. All supplies will be provided.

Anfisa Brewer is a multimedia artist, printmaker, and informal educator hailing from East Texas. After graduating with a BFA in Graphic Design in 2022 from Schreiner University, Anfisa moved to San Antonio. Inspired by nature and a desire for authentic connection, their art focuses on feelings, flowers, and good old fun. They use many printmaking and fiber mediums to explore themes such as connection, humanity, and vulnerability in their work. Anfisa has worked with well-known local organizations such as ArtPace, Breva Creative, and Spare Parts Center for Creative Reuse, hosting workshops on a wide variety of subjects such as gel plate and screen printing. When not teaching or making art, you can find them thrifting, buying new power tools, sipping copious amounts of coffee, and debating the meaning of life with their cats, Spike and Butters.
