How does Surat Shabd Yoga relate to the yoga I'm used to?

The term "yoga" is usually described as a set of asana's or postures. In 'the path of yoga" this step is meant to prepare yourself for meditation. Yoga, in fact, means "union" or a state of union, which we may experience in profound  meditation. Surat Shabd Yoga refers to a form of meditation.

What is Surat Shabd Yoga?

Surat means attention, Shabd refers to the tangible Divine Power pervading all the space - which is  the source of all existence and moves all existence - and Yoga, means union. Surat Shabd Yoga is a third eye meditation practice, which aims at uniting the attention with the Divine Power.

Who is Satguru Sirio Ji?

Sirio Ji is an internationally recognised master of Surat Shabd Yoga, who shares his 53 years of in-depth practical experience selflessly. Decades of dedicated spiritual practice and service to the mission of his spiritual masters Sant Ajaib and Sant Kirpal has preceded his selfless spiritual work.

Who is Dori Ji?

Dory Fary is a highly devoted student of Satguru Sirio Ji, with 16 years of in-depth experience of the spiritual path called Surat Shabd Yoga. She is a gifted yoga instructor and Ayurvedic therapist with 15 years of experience. She is the vice-president of The Sant Bani Ashram Italy.

This is a program-only seminar. If you come from far or abroad and you need help in finding an accommodation close-by the seminar centre, please contact the organiser: siriosatsang.amsterdam@gmail.com. Places to stay in Amsterdam are quickly booked, so please make sure you book rapidly.

Satguru Sirio Ji shares his inner wealth through spoken words, through singing, through Darshan (which is eye-to-eye contact with the audience) and meditating together. Coming with an open mind and heart, helps in receiving his spiritual gift, in experiencing higher states of consciousness.

Do I need to have any yoga or meditation experience?

Accepted Answer

No. What matters is your interest, your curiousity, your open attitude and honest intention.
