Hello!
On Saturday, November 8, we are hosting volunteers at Cascade Ranch to work together on our continued effort to tend Cascade Creek through invasive removal and native plant revegetation. With the winter rains upon us- we plan on planting willows and yarrow, preparing burn piles, and pruning willows. We will get the opportunity to spend time outdoors, meet new people, eat a yummy lunch together, learn about invasive and native plants, and help care for the ancestral lands of the Quiroste Tribe. These events are organized together with the Amah Mutsun Land Trust (AMLT) and Pie Ranch staff dedicated to conservation.
Agenda:
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Convene, orient, and begin prepping ground for planting and pruning willows
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch (prepared by Pie Ranch's very own Linh! GF/Vegan options)
1:00 PM - 2:30 PM: Return to work site to finish planting and preparing burn piles
What to bring:
- Water bottle
- Rain jacket
- Sturdy work boots or closed-toed shoes
- Hat
- Snacks or personal lunch if preferred
