Websites That Work: Practical Strategies for Startups & Small Businesses

In this two-part workshop hosted by the Town of Oro Valley, marketing expert Anne Kokke will walk you through practical strategies to improve your website and make it work harder for you. Through a mix of expert teaching, hands-on activities, and small group mentorship, you’ll learn how to evaluate your site, apply best practices, and track measurable progress.

This workshop meets from 3–5pm on October 23 and November 12. By registering once, you are automatically enrolled in both sessions. To encourage full participation, a $20 deposit is required at registration — this will be fully refunded to attendees who complete both sessions.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is designed for startups and small businesses looking to improve website design, usability, and conversion rates.

Pre-requisite: An existing website (live or wireframe). Your site doesn’t need to be perfect — just bring what you have, and we’ll help you make it stronger.

Registration Details

This event is open to all business owners with ties to Oro Valley (i.e., live in Oro Valley, have a business located in Oro Valley, sell goods/services in Oro Valley, etc.). A $20 refundable deposit is required at registration to confirm your spot. Deposits will be returned in full to participants who attend both sessions.

NOTE: Your registration includes both sessions (Oct 23 and Nov 12). You must attend Session 1 in order to attend Session 2. Space is limited — reserve your spot today!

Session 1: Skills + Activity

Includes homework to help prepare for Session 2.

Session 2: Mentor + Peer Feedback

• Review your progress since Session 1
• Small group mentoring
• Personalized feedback to take your site to the next level
