Event description

The Whitman Institute’s approach to trust-based philanthropy is informed by a decade of experience that funder-grantee relationships are stronger when they are built on the foundation of trust. The idea is simple: philanthropy can be more effective when funders approach their grantee relationships from a place of trust, rather than suspicion.

In the third of our three-part webinar series on cultivating trust-based practices in a time of distrust, we will explore the role of philanthropy in supporting sustainability in the nonprofit sector. Join Pia Infante, along with special guests Vu Le (Nonprofit AF and Rainier Valley Corps), Amy Pak (Families of Color Seattle), and Sarah Walczyk (Satterberg Foundation) as we discuss three key principles of trust-based philanthropy that are geared toward supporting nonprofit sustainability: 1) multi-year unrestricted support, 2) soliciting and acting on feedback, and 3) providing support "beyond the check".

**This interactive discussion will be hosted via Zoom, and a link will be sent upon registration.**
