Event description

Do you receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) from your employer? Are you a little squishy on how they work? When and how you’ll get how much money? When do you pay taxes, and how much? Do you think they might maybe be the same as stock options? (Spoiler: They’re not.)

RSUs have become the most common way for public tech companies to give their employees stock compensation. They are now much more common than stock options, which were the standard back in Ye Olden Days of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Even some private companies now issue RSUs (Uber, anyone?).

Problem is, most people don’t understand how RSUs work. RSUs can be a delightfully simple, straightforward way to strengthen your finances and benefit from gains in your company stock, without taking any risk.

But if you don’t understand them, you can end up taking on more risk than you need to, losing money that you didn’t need to, and simply squandering an opportunity to leapfrog closer to your life’s goals.

Join us for this webinar and you will walk away understanding your RSUs well enough to make the right decisions for you.

By collaboratively articulating goals, motivations, and concerns, she helps clients effectively manage their tax exposure while achieving the right balance of risk and return for their situation. A key to maintaining this balance is helping clients understand not only what they should be doing, but why, through an emphasis on client education.

Prior to opening EosFP Aletta went to grad school for Astrophysics then worked as a TPM at a tech company. Most of the past 20 years she’s oscillated around Kendall Square in Cambridge. Today she lives a little ways out Mass Ave with her husband and two highly energetic sons.
