About this event
LaGuardia Community College’s TechHire – Open Code program provides free tech training, through a grant funded by the US Department of Labor, for eligible young adults, aged 17-29 years old. The program includes job search assistance and career counseling to help fully prepare students to launch successful careers in tech.
Become a web developer with our 6-month training. This training will be provided in partnership with General Assembly. You will learn in-demand coding languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, Python with Django, and Express with Node.js.
Requirements:
• Be 17-29 years old
• Have proof that applicant is authorized to work in the US full-time (not a student visa)
• Not currently attending college
• Be unemployed or underemployed (not working full-time)
• Have a HS diploma or HSE
• Have a strong interest in technology
• Have a laptop
