Join us for the closing night of We Were Never Meant to Disappear, the solo exhibition by artist and writer Liz Ortiz. This 21-year retrospective brings together previously unseen works in printmaking, drawing, painting, and analog photography. Each piece is rooted in resilience, memory, and the reclamation of space as an Indigenous Latina artist in Northern Colorado.

The evening includes a final gallery viewing, reflections on the exhibition’s themes, and time to connect with community.

About the Artist

Liz Ortiz is a multidisciplinary artist, printmaker, and cultural strategist based in Fort Collins, Colorado. She is the founder of Mad Hare Press, a mobile micro-studio and community arts initiative centered on accessibility, education, and ancestral connection through printmaking.
