We Met at Game Night: Local Edition

On Thursday, Dec. 18, the Vizcaya Village Night Market will be decked out in holiday cheer and local charm, with 40+ local vendors offering handcrafted gifts, art, jewelry and gourmet treats.

Come for the last-minute shopping, and stay for the connection! Game Nights are our most popular event, and this is the last one of the year — featuring all locally made games.

Meet creators of local games

Our special guest Pana Mia Club, a hyperlocal connection platform, will be debuting their new conversation deck Where Were We?/¿Dónde Estuvimos?. Make new friends while being among the first to play this bilingual place-based get-to-know-you game.

We’ll also feature other local games, like Walls Down, Social Yaks and Hialeahopoly.

As always, we’ll play in timed rounds with table shuffles, so everyone gets a chance to meet new people.

The market has got your dinner (and dessert) plans covered: Local vendors are offering up everything from boba to arepas to pasta bolognese. Come hungry!

Parking is free and plentiful at Vizcaya Village!

Here’s what to expect:

5 p.m. Market opens. Come early to enjoy live music, shop local vendors, grab dinner and mingle.

6 p.m. Check in at our booth near the entrance. Grab your wristbands and name tags.

6:30 p.m. Game Night begins. Meet us at the Cafe Courtyard. We’ll start with some intros and an opening icebreaker.

6:45 p.m. Let’s play. We’ll play timed rounds of local games with table shuffles in between.

8:30 p.m. Group photo and mingle. We’ll take a group photo and then head back to the market to continue the conversation under the stars.

9 p.m. Market closes. Did you meet someone interesting? Fill out a Connection Card! If you match, we’ll reconnect you after the event.

About Vizcaya Village: Sheltered under large banyan trees, the Vizcaya Village features 11 architecturally significant buildings on 12 acres. Built in 1916 to make Vizcaya self-sufficient, the Village included staff quarters, a garage and workshops, barns, and greenhouses and fields that supplied fresh flowers, fruits and vegetables.
