Warm Up with Writing
Overview
Oklahoma Writing Project Teacher Consultants will hands on literacy activities to increase writing opportunities in classrooms to impact student outcomes.
Participants will be exposed to appropriate grade-level writing activities that are aligned with Oklahoma Academic Standards. Participants will interact with resources provided by State Department of Education to create a plan for their own classroom.
2 Tracks Available:
Elementary Track (Kdg-6th): Participants will practice literacy activities and participant in lively discussion throughout the session. Session will incorporate classroom management ideas as teachers guide students to become stronger writers. Session Hosts: Darla Howell and Kelsey Ledford
Secondary Track (7th-12th): Participants will explore the reading/writing connection with secondary students. Participants will explore hands on activities as students strenthen literacy skills Session Hosts: Alicia Lacy-Scott and Jeannie Lentz

Registration Information: Limited to 20 Participants in each track! Register TODAY!
Due to limited space, you will choose Elementary or Secondary track during registration.
No Cost to Oklahoma Public Resource Members who are be registered by January 2, 2026
Non Members:
Early Bird Registration: $100 (must register by January 2, 2026)
Registration: $150 (after January 2, 2026)
