2025 marks the Institute's 20th anniversary as a convener on the mountain, stewarding the legacy of transformational change and hospitality that Governor Rockefeller left us on the site of his farm. In celebration of this momentous anniversary, we are excited to announce that, for the first time, we’ll be hosting a Walks with the Governor workshop each month for the general public!

We will be offering the following dates and times:

  • Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

All sessions will begin and end in our Legacy Theater, which staff can direct you to upon arrival. Registration is $25 per person, and each session is limited to 25 people.

This workshop does include a bus tour of our campus, but short walks will be required. Please wear comfortable shoes!

For questions or assistance, please contact info@rockefellerinstitute.org.

Workshop Description:

Who has been the most important influence in your life? What legacy did they leave behind, and what legacy do you want to leave for those who follow you?

Walks with the Governor is a unique leadership development workshop inspired by the life of Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller. Participants are encouraged to embrace his collaborative approach to creating change by engaging in deep personal reflection, honest team building conversations, and exploring a legacy dedicated to progress.

While you're with us atop Petit Jean Mountain, expect to visit various locations on the Governor’s former homestead and learn about the rich history of this special place.
