We are honored to host Lisa Moriarty who designed the Labyrinths at Charlson Meadows.
Expect a leisurely day of exploration and creativity, using the labyrinths as a playground. The day will be filled with opportunities to learn about labyrinths, create and use a variety of labyrinths while being immersed with awe and inspiration. No experience necessary, come ready to explore!
Lisa Gidlow Moriarty is an internationally known artist, speaker, and labyrinth maker. She leads retreats, workshops, tours and pilgrimages, and has installed labyrinths from Africa to Australia and across the USA. 9am Opening introductions of participants, schedule and theme, brief history of labyrinths
9:30 Creative exploration activity building temporary labyrinth
10:30 Labyrinth walk on an indoor canvas labyrinth
11:30am-1:30pm Lunch Break - time tó converse, go outside and walk, explore, take a quick nap, rest, relax, retreat, replenish. Walk other labyrinths, use finger labyrinths
1:30pm Afternoon session - discussion with reflections from the morning session short PowerPoint on the variety of locations where labyrinths are found and used in the Twin Cities, ending with known health benefits of labyrinth walking
2:15pm Present the question to ponder - Where is our inspiration? and take about 15 minutes to find a quiet place to contemplate the question and write/journal. Return to the circle at 2:30pm
2:45pm Facilitated Group labyrinth walk, followed by sharing conversation seeking, making space for "Awe" in our lives
3:45pm Closing
