About Alina's Light

Alina's Light was born from love and the determination to turn heartbreak into hope. Created in memory of Alina Sheykhet, whose life was tragically taken by domestic violence in 2017, our organization works tirelessly to spread awareness, foster healing, and bring light to the darkest places.

We believe that "we learn to express our grief not through pain, but through love to Alina." Every program we offer, every resource we provide, and every event we host is designed with this philosophy at its heart. Our free domestic violence awareness programs and resources have touched countless lives, providing education, support, and hope to families throughout Pennsylvania.

Registration: $40 per person

Activities: Family-friendly fun, community connections, 5K run/walk in the morning.

Important details:

• All runners, walkers, and joggers are welcome.
• Settler’s Cabin Park will be closed to the public during the race.
• Please follow all traffic laws; the course will be clearly marked.
• The event is rain or shine. If weather conditions become unsafe, we’ll move on to the family fun activities.
• No bag check is available—plan accordingly and dress for the weather.
• Dogs and strollers are welcome with care. Keep pets close and under control at all times; they should not interact aggressively with others, especially children.
