NAMI, or National Alliance for Mental Illness, is a long-standing national charity that is best known for sponsoring the original police CIT training courses many years ago to train officers on how to interact with the mentally ill safely and compassionately.
The Broward Chapter of NAMI funds many community health treatments, action groups, and support groups, and the funding of these groups is essential for the most vulnerable among us. For many, this is often life-saving care and attention.
This is a critical year for them, as their main funding sources have dried up precipitously. We especially need to support them in their endeavors locally.
Your Rotary Chapter can quickly form a team for the upcoming walk on Saturday, October 4th at 8 AM, on the fields at Nova University. You do not need to participate in the walk to form a team to contribute. Those who contribute $100 are given the walk T-Shirt.

Alternatively, you can contribute through our team, Sunrise Rotary and Friends, although we encourage your organization to form your own chapter, there is no cost or obligation.
