Walk For Hope 2017

ABOUT: Walk for Hope unites students, faculty, and staff from Blue Ridge Community College, Bridgewater College, Eastern Mennonite University, and James Madison University along with area community members to raise awareness about depression and suicide. We invite you to join us as we Walk for Hope! The walk will be hosted this year at Eastern Mennonite University, and leads to an event that will include: Active Mind's Speaker, Dave Romano, creative arts activities, refreshments, and resources.
The walk and all activities are free to attend and open to the public. All are encouraged and welcome to participate. Please register and join us for year's 6th annual Walk for Hope!
Saturday, March 25, 2017
11:30-12:00 PM: Check-in / tee-shirt pick up begins - in front of the EMU - University Commons Building - 1307 Park Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
12:00 PM: The walk begins (2 mi route around EMU's campus and the neighboring area).
12:45 PM: Those attendees unable to participate in the walking portion of the event are welcome to join us in the EMU University Commons Gym - 1307 Park Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
12:45 PM - 3:00 PM: The walk will end in the EMU - University Commons Gym where we are excited to welcome this year's speaker, Dave Romano. Opening remarks and welcome will begin around 12:45pm, followed by this year's speaker. Then creative arts activities, resources, and refreshments will follow.
***PARKING: Free general parking is available to the side and in back of the University Commons building.
***Dogs are welcome to join for the walking portion of Walk for Hope, however they will not allowed inside buildings on EMU's campus.
