How long will the walk be?

The event will last about 1 hour, around 1 mile in distance. There will be short breaks throughout for Adams County staff to share information with the group.

What amenities are available at the event?

We will be meeting by the main entrance to the shelter. There is a parking lot and restrooms available.

Should I bring anything with me?

Bring along any items that will make you the most comfortable on the walk - a water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, sunglasses, comfortable shoes and clothing, etc. If you plan to bring your dog, make sure they are securely leashed!

Will this event have adoptable pets from the Riverdale Animal Shelter present?

No, this event will not include pets from the shelter. This is an opportunity to connect with other people and their pets from throughout Adams County. However, there will be Riverdale Animal Shelter staff present to answer general questions about the shelter or adopting.
