Over the years working as a Play Therapist, I have observed how isolating it can be for parents and carers whose children are struggling with their behaviour or mental health. I myself have experienced this isolation with my own son who struggled with his mental health caused by autism burnout.
As well as offering a monthly group online offering practical and emotional advice and support (see my other events) I wanted to provide the opportunity for parents and carers to come together in the outdoors and simply walk and talk, connect and bond over their shared experiences. This is such a simple but powerful concept.
We start and end the walk at The Green Table. The pace of the walk is steady and includes uneven surfaces and moderate inclines. Suitable footwear and clothing is recommended.
Feel free to bring your well-behaved dog, but please check with the rest of the group before you let it off the lead.
This event is free to those parents and carers whose children are currently attending Play Therapy with me.
