Join us at GPAG to hear cultural anthropologist, explorer and author Wade Davis and beloved moderator Vicki Gabereau in conversation, with emcee Ed Hill, on a wide span of topics – inspiring us to see and to seek global perspectives of diversity, promise and home. This event honours National Indigenous Peoples Day June 21, 2025 and while at the event guests can also view the Bradley Hunt & Family exhibition, NEW DIRECTIONS: CONTEMPORARY HEILTSUK PAINTINGS (mixed media). Davis has spent a lifetime learning from the Indigenous peoples of the world, and their relationship with the planet we all share. He believes that the future of humanity — and its present — depends on listening to Indigenous peoples: to what they know of the world, to what they have to teach us; and how they can help our species both survive, and thrive.
Doors open 6:30pm; Discussion 7:15pm - 8:30pm
Tickets: $75 (includes a glass of bubbles or beer, a copy of Wade’s latest book Beneath the Surface of Things (Greystone 2024), plus a complimentary one-year membership to GPAG ($25 value).
